Ethiopia Buraaale Buy 20 Units of Develon DX360LCA-7B Excavator

Buraaale Ethiopia Buy 20 Units of Develon Excavator DX360LCA-7B via ZW Group

Introduction & Background

In mid-2025, ZW Group secured a order from our valued Ethiopian partner Buraaale for 20 brand new hydraulic crawler Develon DX360LCA-7B excavators.

The order, confirmed in June 2025, represents one of the largest single-model purchase by Buraaale, reflecting their confidence in Develon’s performance, durability, and after-sales support.

From the very first meeting, our ZW Group team, led by customer manager KangLa, engaged deeply with Buraaale to understand their site conditions, fleet requirements, transport logistics, and operational goals.

After months of negotiation, factory checks, and quality assurance, the units have now passed all inspections and are ready for shipment to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Sales Process & Role of Customer Manager KangLa

3.1 Initial Inquiry & Needs Assessment

KangLa led the first engagement call in April 2025, listening carefully to Buraaale’s technical needs, site conditions (e.g. rocky terrain, steep slopes, dusty environment), and transport constraints (road access, port logistics). The team proposed the DX360LCA-7B as a candidate solution with its balanced combination of power, reliability, and fuel economy.

3.2 Technical Proposal & Matching Specification

Within two weeks, ZW Group delivered a detailed proposal. At KangLa’s direction, the proposal included:

  • Detailed configuration sheets for the DX360LCA-7B

  • Comparative ROI, fuel consumption estimates, and maintenance cost modeling

  • Shipping and logistics plans (from factory to Ethiopia)

  • After-sales guarantee, spare-parts roadmap, and training offerings

KangLa also arranged a virtual walkthrough of a similar machine in operation via video, and facilitated Buraaale’s engineers visiting our partner depot for inspection.

3.3 Negotiation & Contract Signing

Over the next four weeks, both sides negotiated payment terms, warranty scopes, and delivery schedules. ZW Group agreed to a 12-month full-machine warranty, plus guaranteed spare parts supply for five years. In June 2025, the formal purchase order for 20 units was signed.

3.4 Production & Quality Control

During factory production, KangLa maintained close oversight: periodic updates, on-site or remote inspections, QC reports, video documentation, and pre-shipment checklists. Any detected deviations (e.g. paint tolerance, accessory fittings) were rectified before final acceptance.

3.5 Inspection & Pre-Shipment Testing

By early October 2025, the 20 units arrived at the regional inspection yard. Our inspection team (quality engineers and field service staff) performed:

  • Structural integrity checks (boom, arm, pins)

  • Hydraulic leak tests at full pressure

  • Engine warm-up, idle, and load testing

  • Functional tests of all controls, levers, safety devices

  • Visual and interior inspection of operator cabins

All units passed the inspection. KangLa organized a handover meeting with Buraaale’s technical team, walking them through operations, maintenance items, and shipment logistics.

At present, the machines are being loaded for transport and are scheduled to depart soon.
